Red's Tavern, the historic garden-to-table tavern on the property, anchors the food and drink side. The lawn and dock handle ceremonies, photos, and the kind of unstructured time that turns a weekend into a memory. Coeur d'Alene is thirty minutes one way, Spokane an hour the other — close enough for your guests to get here, far enough that the world quiets down once they do.

The questions guests ask most often when planning an event with us.
How many guests can Watson's accommodate?
All five units together sleep up to 22 overnight guests. For day events such as wedding ceremonies and receptions, the lakefront lawn and Red's Tavern can host larger groups — call us to discuss capacity for your specific event.
Is catering included, or can we bring our own?
Most events at Watson's are catered by Red's Tavern, our on-site garden-to-table restaurant. Outside catering may be allowed on a case-by-case basis depending on the event. Get in touch to discuss your menu and we'll put together a quote.
Can we serve alcohol at our event?
Yes. Bar service is available through Red's Tavern, including beer, wine, and cocktails. We'll work with you on a beverage package that fits your event.
What if it rains on the day of our event?
Red's Tavern's dining room and covered porch offer indoor and partially covered options if the weather doesn't cooperate. For weddings and larger events, we'll work with you on a contingency plan during planning.
What's required to hold a date?
A non-refundable deposit is required to hold a date for events. The deposit amount and balance schedule depend on the event size and lodging needs. We'll send a written proposal with deposit details after your initial inquiry.
Are events available year-round?
Yes. Watson's hosts events throughout the year — summer weddings on the lawn, autumn family reunions during peak color, and corporate retreats in the quieter shoulder seasons. Winter availability is more limited; please call to discuss.
